Terms of Use and License

These terms are an agreement between you and Insetlab LLC (“we”, “us”) for the Galance app and the galance.app website. By downloading, installing or using Galance, you agree to them.

Purchases and our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.

Free trial

You may use the full version of Galance free for 14 days on each Mac to decide whether it suits you. After the trial, a license is needed to keep using it.

Your license

When you buy Galance, you receive a license key. It gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Galance on up to two (2) Macs that you own or control, for personal or commercial work. A license is for one person; a team needs one license per person.

The license includes all updates to Galance version 4 at no extra cost. Future major versions may be offered as a paid upgrade; you can keep using the version you bought.

What you may not do

• Share, publish, sell or give away your license key, or use someone else’s.
• Redistribute, rent or sublicense Galance.
• Remove or work around the license check, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.

We may deactivate license keys that have been shared publicly or obtained fraudulently.

Your files

Galance works on files on your Mac. It is designed never to change your original files except when you clearly ask it to (for example moving a file to the Trash or renaming it), and those actions can be undone in the app. Still, you are responsible for keeping backups of your work.

Ownership

Galance, its design and its code belong to Insetlab LLC. You own your photos, videos and anything you create with Galance.

No warranty

Galance is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or work without interruption.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Insetlab LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of Galance. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from the date above. If you break these terms, your license may end, and you must stop using Galance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Insetlab LLC is registered, except where the law of your country of residence gives you protection that cannot be excluded.
